Unit 50 Movement In Performance. Rent Evaluation

In our performance of the musical Rent on the 20th and 21st of January. I played the part of Mark Cohen, his main attributes were his awkward manner and his lonely life. I tried to include these characteristics with my general movements in the show, By keeping my self to my self but at the same he is still a creative character. I also tried to show this in my movement for my character as I explored using edgy movements.

My main movement scene was La Vi Boheme. In this scene we learnt a phrase that fit the chorus of the song. I adapted this to fit my character and because I had my own solo where I was standing on the table while singing I explored lots of freestyle movements to fit with the theme of living life to the full. I felt that I gave my full energy in this scene and in comparison to the first night when we performed it I really stepped up on the second night.
